Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Anyone who operates a forklift at their workplace is required by OSHA to be certified. This includes employees working in warehouses, factories, distribution centers, construction, and logistics.
The certification is valid for 3 years, according to OSHA standards. After that period, the operator must complete a renewal or refresher training.
It depends on the participant’s level of experience, but the course usually lasts 3 to 4 hours, including theory, hands-on practice, and a final evaluation.
The training is conducted at our authorized facilities with real forklifts. We also offer on-site training for companies that want to certify multiple employees.
We train on the most common types, but the certificate you will receive is valid for all 7 Class types:

  • Class I: Electric motor rider forklifts (sit-down riders with electric motors).
  • Class II: Electric motor narrow-aisle forklifts (reach trucks, order pickers and side-loaders designed for tight warehouse aisles).
  • Class III: Electric motor hand trucks or hand/rider trucks (manual and electric pallet jacks, walk-behind stackers and small tow tractors).
  • Class IV: Internal combustion engine forklifts with solid or cushion tires (used indoors on smooth surfaces).
  • Class V: Internal combustion engine forklifts with pneumatic tires (for outdoor or mixed use).
  • Class VI: Electric and internal-combustion engine tractors (tow tractors often seen at airports or assembly lines).
  • Class VII: Rough-terrain forklifts (vertical-mast, variable-reach and truck-mounted lifts designed for construction sites and uneven ground).
